Web Developer Boot Camp Projects

Hands-on learning means you will be busy working through mini-labs and building a personal web project.  You will collaborate on group tasks, work on solo jobs and have the assistance of a mentor for those times you just feel stuck.

Mini-labs

Mini-labs are designed to test your understanding of the foundational topics you learn in each session.  Here is just a sampling of some of the mini-lab topics:

  • Configure DNS entries for your website
  • Write a scope of work and technical specification document
  • Create web pages using HTML/HTML5/CSS and ASP.NET
  • Create dynamic navigation menus, custom online forms and data-driven lists
  • Deploy Javascript image sliders, lightboxes and other controls
  • Develop data queries using C# and SQL

Personal Web Project

The final test of your boot camp experience is the building of your personal web project. This is where you apply the skills you accumulate. All students start with the same base project – building a corporate website – that way you can help one another.

Where it goes from there is really up to you. Does it become an ecommerce site, a social community or maybe a company intranet? Point is, you build it and then you show it off to friends, colleagues, employers and clients.
